This window illustrates two stories often linked together in medieval art and thought: the Fall of [P 019 / Adam and Eve and the parable of the Good Samaritan]. The man who was attacked by robbers in the Good Samaritan parable was thought to represent the fallen Adam leaving the City of Jerusalem (Eden). The Good Samaritan is Christ, and the inn he took the man to is his church. The samaritan's promise to return to the inn and settle his debts symbolizes Christ's promise to return to earth (the Second Coming).
The window is made up of three large petal-shaped windows consisting of a central pane and four surrounding panes, intersected by small round windows and flanked by two half-circle windows. The lower half of the window shows the Good Samaritan parable, and the upper half, the story of Adam and Eve. In the top-most window, Christ sits on his throne as the Samaritan and the Redeemer King. He holds the globe in his left hand.
The Farriers' Guild donated this window, and at the bottom there are three small semi-circular windows showing farriers at work making horseshoes.
